What is a Standard Installation?

The prices listed for quick and easy checkout include our the charge point and standard installation. As long as your install means the following criteria then the price you see is the price you pay.

  • The cable route between your meter or consumer unit to the charger is the distance you’ve selected at checkout

  • Supply cable can be clipped direct to a wall, fence or solid object for its entire route with no groundworks or digging

  • No working at heights above the reach of a standard step ladder

  • EV charge point can be installed on a wall of house, garage or garden or solid object or pre-installed post

  • Your electrics and electricity supply is in a good condition and able to install either a double pole RCBO in your existing consumer unit or a small consumer unit for the EV charger only

  • Your earthing and earth bonding to water and gas if applicable is in place and up to standard

What does standard installation include?
  • Installation of EV charge point to wall of house, garage or garden or solid object or pre-installed post

  • Double Pole RCBO protection & SPD Surge Protection Type 2 & Mini consumer unit if required

  • Your selected amount of cable clipped direct to wall with firerated clips

  • Labour, testing and commissioning of unit

  • Set up of smart phone app and demonstration on how to use

  • Sign off with building control Part P, installation certificate and notification to the DNO

What if my installation is ‘Non-Standard’?

This is not a problem, if you contact us we can discuss your options and give you a bespoke quotation still keeping your install simple and affordable! When you contact ua we may ask you for some photos of your property. We can also carry out a virtual survey via video call free of charge or arrange an in person survey at extra cost.

Can I spread the cost?

Yes! You can either pay in full via debit or credit card or you can apply to Pay In 3 or Pay Later with Klarna, just select the option at checkout

How quickly can you install?

Lead times can vary depending on area, parts availability and installer workload, however the vast majority of charge points are installed within 7-10 days of order. Once your order is confirmed by a member of our team your charge point is usually delivered within 48 hours

Are there any grants available?

There are a few grant schemes available for EV charger installations, visit our grants page for more information

Is there any warranty?

Every charge point we install comes with a 3 year manufacturer parts and labour warranty, if you have a problem with your charge point we can assist you in claiming this. All other parts we install such as RCBO’s are covered by a 12 month parts and labour warranty. SPD surge protection devices are not covered by warranty as they are a one use product and need replacing when they’ve been triggered in the event of a surge. How to I select installation distance at checkout?

To make it as simple as possible we ask you to select how much cable is required to be installed to power your new EV charge point. This is the distance between your electricity meter or consumer unit (whichever is closer) and the proposed installation location of your EV charger. If you’re unsure of have a secondary consumer unit in a garage or outhouse you think we could use then contact us and we can confirm!
